Teaching methods and evaluation
One of Klaipeda Business School’s main strategic aims is "to provide high quality education which meets the needs of our students and employers". We strive to enable our students to acquire the knowledge and skills required in an ever-changing social and economic climate.
Traditionally, theoretical lectures are being combined with other forms of teaching including seminars, workshops, study visits, presentations, projects, etc. After covering a course of lectures students have to pass a written (and / or an oral) examination. Moreover, in the course of the study process all the students are evaluated for various kinds of oral and written assignments, presentations and discussions. Thus, their final evaluation consists of all of the above-mentioned assignments, plus the grade for the final exam.
Assessment and grading
Every course is accomplished with a written /oral examination.
The grading scale used by Klaipeda Business School is based on a number scale from 10 (excellent) to 1 (very poor). In addition to this ten-point system, the pass / fail system is used, 5 and above is a passing grade, and 4 or below is a failing grade. A student who fails an examination is allowed to re-sit it.
